Arrival by Car
Coming from the A5 motorway: Exit the motorway at Freiburg-Mitte and follow the B31 (main road) towards Freiburg city center. After approximately 8 km, you will see signs for “Freiburg-Altstadt”. Stay in the left lane and drive through the Schwabentor (Swabian Gate). After about 100 meters, you will arrive directly in front of Gasthaus Löwen on Herrenstraße. Coming from the Black Forest (B31): Follow the B31 towards Freiburg until you reach signs for “Freiburg-Altstadt”. Stay in the right lane and then switch to the left lane to pass through the Schwabentor. After approx. 100 meters, you will reach Gasthaus Löwen on Herrenstraße.Important note: Our house is located in the heart of the pedestrian zone of Freiburg’s old town. Please note that stopping for loading and unloading is only allowed on Herrenstraße – regular parking is not permitted there.

- Karlsbau Parking Garage Approx. 4 minutes on foot. 24-hour ticket: €22, each additional day €12.
- Schlossberg Garage Approx. 2 minutes on foot. Hotel rate: €18 / 24 h.

Arrival by Motorcycle
If you are arriving by motorcycle, there are several parking options close to Freiburg’s city center:

Parking Garages: Follow the city’s parking guidance system and leave your motorcycle safely in one of the covered parking garages (subject to fees).

Motorcycle Parking Spaces: Alternatively, there are free motorcycle parking areas around the pedestrian zone – just a few minutes’ walk from the Gasthaus Löwen.
Arrival by Train
Public Transport: At Freiburg Central Station, take the escalator down to the trams. Take line 1 towards Littenweiler. Get off at the stop “Oberlinden” and walk about 50 m in the direction of Herrenstraße.
On Foot: From the main exit of the station, walk straight into the city center for about 15 minutes. Turn right at Herrenstraße – after approx. 20 m you’ll reach Gasthaus Löwen.
Arrival by Bicycle
Bicycles can be parked on Herrenstraße or in the bicycle parking facility at the main train station (10–15 minutes on foot).Note: For liability reasons, bicycles are not permitted inside the hotel or on hotel premises.
