On January 1, 2014, the city of Freiburg introduced the Freiburg accommodation tax. We ask for your understanding that from this point in time we are obliged to collect this fee of 5% of the overnight price and pay it to the city of Freiburg. Our room rates already include this separate tax and we do not add it to it.
Since July 1st, 2023, the bed tax has also applied to work-related overnight stays in accordance with the decision of the Federal Constitutional Court (1 BvR 2868/15, 1 BvR 2886/15, 1 BvR 2887/15, 1 BvR 354/16)
